Guided Foothills Palo Verde Bean Harvest

Date: Friday, May 27, 2016
Time: 5:30–7 pm

Join Brad Lancaster to pick green Foothills Palo Verde pods, taste the sweet seeds, then experiment with different ways of processing and enjoying the harvest.

We’ll also cover harvesting from Blue Palo Verde trees.

In addition, you’ll see how simple water-harvesting earthworks in your yard or neighborhood can boost production, catch flower drop, and increase soil fertility.
We’ll also show you how we are growing neighborhood trees in-situ from seed. It’s all part of an overall strategy of growing and utilizing regenerative urban food forests.
