About the event: On Sunday, June 11, 2017, join Edible Baja Arizona and local craft breweries for the LAST Baja Brews Tasting Event of 2017!

Every eight weeks, for the past year, Baja Arizona’s breweries worked with different locally- originating ingredients, to craft special beers just for these events.

On Sunday, June 11, join Edible Baja Arizona and over 10 local craft breweries for the sixth and final Baja Brews Tasting Event, featuring beers brewed with local nuts and seeds. Since last summer, Baja Arizona’s breweries have worked with different locally originating ingredients to craft special beers exclusively for Baja Brews events. This sixth and final Baja Brews tasting event is sure to be the most splendid event yet!

All proceeds from the $30 donation benefit four amazing Tucson nonprofit organizations that are working to improve food security in our community:Desert Harvesters, Native Seeds/SEARCH, Iskashitaa Refugee Network, and Trees for Tucson.

You’ll be able to taste and enjoy over ten locally produced nut and seed -infused beers in your own 5oz commemorative Baja Brews tasting glass, talk with the brewers, and learn more about Tucson’s ever-growing craft beer scene—all while supporting the work of these great non-profits! The Baja Brews finale event at the historic Rialto Theater will include mouthwatering Mexican food from El Charro Cafe and live music from local band Hey, Bucko.

Unlike past Baja Brews events, tickets for this Baja Brews will include a plate of delicious food from El Charro Café. You’ll be able to choose between El Charro’s Pollo Borracho (cerveza infused chicken) or a fresh green tamale (vegetarian), both accompanied by arroz Sonora, beans, tortillas and cilantro lime and roasted corn slaw. Now that’s a great meal to wash down with a few local beers!

The tasting event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and you can make your donation in advance by purchasing tickets on the Edible Baja Arizona website (ediblebajaarizona.com/product/baja-brews), or tickets may be purchased on the night of the event at the door, pending availability. Our last two tasting events were sold-out, so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.

The Baja Brews Project was a year-long collaboration between Edible Baja Arizona and the Baja Arizona region’s craft breweries. We want to explore, celebrate, and taste Baja Arizona’s extraordinary craft beer. Drink local!
